List of available services at Algiers International Airport

Information desk
A reception desk is available in each hall of the various terminals of the airport. The reception staff can inform travelers and accompanying persons about their flight, their experience at the airport or the formalities to be completed. Do not hesitate to call on them.
ATMs
Holders of international bank cards (Visa, Mastercard) or cards issued by Algerian banks have the possibility of withdrawing money 24 hours a day from ATMs at the airport. These distributors distribute Algerian dinar banknotes ( DA , DZD). The BNA and BEA branches offer 7 days a week, in addition to their ATMs, banking services, transfers as well as foreign currency exchange.

VIP Lounge
SeveralVIP lounges are available to travelers seeking comfort and tranquility while waiting for their flight. Access is restricted to business and first-class passengers of certain airlines, those with an access card, or those paying the entry or subscription fee with SGSIA. Various services are offered such as wifi, snack / bar, television and international press.

Terminal 1 (international terminal)

  • Lounges for passengers departing from Terminal 1: 
     First Class Lounge: reserved for business class passengers of airlines contracted with SGSIA 
     The VIP Lounge: accessible to passengers paying one-time access as part of an annual convention or equipped with a subscription card allowing 10 passes.
  • Lounges for passengers on arrival in Terminal 1:
    For passengers on arrival, Terminal 1 also has two lounges located in the baggage delivery room, where they can wait while the hostess picks up their luggage.

Subscriptions and 10-pass cards*: they allow access to the VIP lounge on departure and arrival. The price of the conventioned passage is DA 2700 HT per passage and per person. The 10-pass VIP card costs DA 27,000 HT.

Terminal 2 (domestic terminal)

The domestic terminal (T2) includes a VIP lounge reserved for business class passengers of AIR ALGERIE and TASSILI airlines as well as passengers with a VIP card or an annual subscription.

Subscriptions and 10-pass cards*: they allow access to the VIP lounge at departure. The price of the agreed passage is DA 1350 HT per passage and per person. The 10-pass VIP card costs DA 13,500 HT.

* in order to subscribe to a subscription or to acquire a VIP card of 10 passages, the request must be addressed to the DFC of Algiers airport, Dar El Beida

Internet
Houari Boumediene Airport has several Wi-Fi access in all terminals, in public areas, VIP lounges and boarding areas. Wi-Fi access is chargeable and can be obtained by purchasing recharge cards at airport shops or vending machines (30mn: DA 250 , 60mn: DA 420). Internet connection kiosks are also available to users in each terminal of the airport. Travelers with access to lounges and VIP areas enjoy free wifi internet access. 

Algeria also has several 4G operators selling SIM cards without subscription and 4G USB keys for cheap and fast internet access on your PC, tablet or phone. These SIM cards are available and can be activated in several shops at the airport:

Stores and duty free shop
Many shops are available within the airport both in the international duty free zone and in the main departure and arrival halls of the various terminals. Books, international press, souvenirs, gastronomy, crafts, ready-to-wear, postcards and stamps, telephony and electronics, perfume, alcohol and tobacco are all products proposed to travelers and their companions in the shops open 7 days a week.

Post office
To send letters, postcards and parcels, for purchases of stamps and for receiving and sending money orders, the post office of Houari Boumediene international airport is open in Terminal 1.
Police & security
Algiers Intl. Airport is always concerned about the safety of passengers and aircraft. The police of the airport listen to all travelers. Security officers also ensure compliance with international standards. You can call them to report any suspicious activity. In addition, we remind you that leaving luggage unattended can cause its destruction and prosecution against you.
Passengers with disabilities
All services at Houari Boumediene International Airport have been designed to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility: reserved and adapted parking spaces, sanitary facilities, elevators and assistance. To take advantage of specific facilities and assistance staff, it is essential to inform the airline when you book your flight or in any case before departure. When check-in, do not forget to remind the counter agents of your need for assistance so that your luggage is labeled and picked up upon arrival at the destination airport. You will then be assisted until your installation in the plane.
Luggage wrapping
In order to reinforce and protect your luggage from shocks, theft or scratches, a paid wrapping service is available in the public halls of Algiers Houari Boumediene airport. This service is offered to passengers by SMART BAG in Hall 1 and 2 of Terminal 1 (International).

Luggage scales
Each airline flying to Algeria impose a different baggage allowance. It is important that every traveler comply with those rules under threat of being required to pay excess baggage fees that can be prohibitive. It is therefore recommended to weigh your luggage before you get to the airport. However, it is possible to weigh them on the balances available at check-in counters in order to lighten them if necessary.
Cabin baggage
Just like checked baggage, cabin baggage must meet a maximum size and weight. Airlines propose in the check-in area boxes to check if your cabin baggage meets the standards. Some passengers try at the time of boarding to carry more or different bags that those validated at check-in. They are exposed to leave their bags at the airport or to pay excess baggage fees in addition to delay the takeoff to the detriment of all travelers.
Last minute tickets
Passengers who have not had time to buy their plane ticket or have missed their flight have the opportunity to buy their trip locally. They can do this directly to the airlines counters. The tourist office and travel agencies also allow you to enquire about the tourist services offered in Algeria and to book hotels, tours, flights and trips.

Health
In order to ensure the comfort of its travelers and visitors, the Algiers airport offers a medical service for health emergencies. Inquire at the reception if you wish to benefit from it. In addition, assistance to passengers with reduced mobility is offered throughout the traveler's journey. 
In terminals 1 and 2 (national and international) a pharmacy is open 24/7 to buy drugs and parapharmaceutical products:

Baggage disputes
In the event of loss, theft or damage related to luggage carried by travelers, you can contact the airline's luggage dispute service upon your arrival. They are in charge of tracking suitcases transported by passengers and any claims related to baggage. If you have lost or found an object in the airport, you can go to one of the information desks of the terminal in which you are.
Bars and restaurants
Algiers Houari Boumediene International Airport has bars and restaurants in all areas of the different terminals. Travelers and all users of the airport have the opportunity to relax and eat at any time, every day of the week while waiting for their flight, accompanying or picking up passengers.
